Jean-Pierre Raby
As partner responsible for professional practice, I see to quality control and standards and to professional development. I also participate in the firm’s engagements as partner responsible for certain assurance engagements and as a financial modelling consultant.
Over the years, I have acquired deep experience in working with affiliates of French infrastructure construction companies, car dealerships, bakery chains, high-tech companies, para-governmental agencies in the municipal and provincial sectors, and in the field of greenhouse gas reduction.
I met the challenge of successfully developing a financial model for a “build operate transfer” infrastructure project for one of the first public-private partnership infrastructure projects in Canada. The model is still being used more than 15 years after it was first implemented.
I have been asked to prepare and present accounting expertise for disputes between clients and suppliers or partners, for estates, and for evaluation of amounts involved in frauds.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration – accounting from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 1989. I joined the team at Petrie Raymond when I completed my studies, and I became a partner in 2006.
I am a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec.
I am a member of the Groupe de travail technique — NCEF — Comptabilité financière partie II.
